Rita brings a rare combination of lived entrepreneurial experience, education, professional experience, and nonprofit experience to every engagement.
- Rita's father owned a Small Business Administration-designated Small, Hispanic, Veteran, Disabled-owned business, and Rita worked for him while he pursued government contracts based on that designation.
- Rita is also a small business owner herself.
- Rita is a high school dropout whose last full year of school was eighth grade, who later earned both a bachelor's degree and an MBA from Arizona State University.
- She is dedicated to empowering budding entrepreneurs.
- Rita also worked in behavioral health for five years.
- She converted a collective volunteer group into a designated nonprofit.

Founder Story
Why RML Consulting Was Created
Business is a language not everyone understands.
Rita went to school to learn that language so she could translate it for budding entrepreneurs who need support and guidance while starting and growing their businesses.
Working for large corporations did not feel meaningful to Rita. She left a comfortable corporate role to dedicate herself to meaningful work helping small business owners.
Her goal is to empower her community by using her skills and experience to support local business owners.
RML Consulting is not designed to remove the creativity and entrepreneurial spirit that led someone to start a business. It exists to help entrepreneurs combine that creativity with greater clarity, organization, business understanding, goals, and actionable planning.
